Montreal's Calvillo tops CFL Players of the Month

Calvillo, who has guided the Alouettes to a 4-1 record to start the season, earned offensive honors after leading the league in passing yards (1,606) and completion percentage (69.9-percent) to go with 10 touchdowns and just two interceptions. He is currently second on the CFL's all-time list in passing yards and touchdowns.

Bowman earned the monthly defensive accolades after registering six tackles, six sacks and four forced fumbles. His signature game came in Week 4 in a 37-14 win over Hamilton that saw him record four sacks and force a pair of fumbles.

Taking home the special teams honor was Thigpen, who has accumulated 331 yards on kickoff returns, 205 on punts and 189 on missed field goals, and has scored on a kickoff return, a punt return, and a missed field goal return.

Rounding out the monthly winners was Fantuz as the top Canadian player, for catching 25 passes for 361 yards and three touchdowns.
